What are Embers?

Embers fuel every meaningful moment of your adventure. The deeper you go - conversations, discoveries, skill challenges - the more Embers you'll spend.

Daily Free Embers - Every account receives 15 free Embers each day. Use them or lose them - daily Embers expire at the end of the day (midnight UTC). Daily Embers fuel story play; image generation uses your Subscription Embers.
Subscription Embers - Purchased through a subscription or one-time pack, these Embers are yours to keep. They never expire and remain in your account until you use them.
One Ember per action - Every story action costs 1 Ember, and many cost nothing; voiced narration and image generation are priced on their own, and some are limited per day.

Quest checks - whether what you said completes a step of a quest, or breaks one of its rules
How the character now feels about you, and how far that changes what they will do for you
Reading what you meant - a threat, an offer taken up or turned down, a power used within its limits
Long conversations tidied into the character's memories, so they remember what happened - at no extra cost
